Poor MM.... unemployment is hitting him hard, no links to share. I'd hit you up with some coin but Aaron already took my annual fifth contribution and some. Beautiful family...prayers and thoughts.
Kmele getting baked while watching technology-on-Adderall seems about right.
Thought this might also be of interest. Freelance journalist Nate Thayer died earlier this week. Most famous for snagging the last ever interview in 1997 with Pol Pot (whose last interview before that with a journalist was in 1978), he was a colourful character who reported from a lot of rugged places in the world but went really deep on Cambodia. Apparently came from a prominent Boston Brahmin family but went another way.
Until a few hours ago, I had never heard of Alabama Congressman Mike Rogers. I know nothing about his politics. But anybody who tries to punch that d-bag Matt Gaetz is worthy of votes and financial support.
You don't need to be on the House floor to.make an educated guess that Gaetz was up to something that involved stabbing a colleague in the back.
Heyo! Not sure if this is Fifth Live worthy but while the House was in full-on circus mode, Ron DeSantis did a hostile takeover of a liberal arts college, adding Chris Rufo (among other luminaries) to the Board of Trustees.
The whole thing is a fascinating project (I’m not opposed to designating a state school for a more conservative education) but, man, those people he put in charge 🥴
Regarding the Burn Barrel episode, I don’t think Santos is going to resign for the simple reason that they guy will be paid $350,000. Nothing he can do for the next 2 years will get him paid more than 1/4 of that

I’ll add Fifthdom’s Nancy Rommelmann on the Commentary podcast talking about her Portland bail fund piece! 🙌🏼 https://www.commentary.org/john-podhoretz/the-horror-of-portlandia/

Can we get a Venmo name or bank as I stopped using GoFundMe after the Jose Alba debacle?
Just give it to me straight, fellas - do I really need to enroll in Twitch to be a fully participating member?

There’s been surprisingly little coverage. NR has a good piece (behind a paywall) https://www.nationalreview.com/news/desantis-shakes-up-leadership-of-woke-florida-college-appoints-conservative-majority/
Tampa Bay has a piece too (that’s more critical than NR, obviously). Both together are excellent reading https://www.tampabay.com/news/florida-politics/2023/01/06/desantis-conservative-hillsdale-rufo-college-liberal-sarasota

Oh shit, Pesca played a double-Kmelie!
