We’re back with one long episode in two cracking segments. First up, Welch and Moynihan (Ed. note: Kmele is currently peering through a telescope on the South Side of Chicago or something) catch up on all the stupid news of the last week, including…
Somewhat related, I feel like Megyn Kelley is looking really silly with her defenses of Tucker. The way she went at Noah Rothman was bananas. Her show has become increasingly more cringe, and I can only listen when I know I at least trust the guest. Her obsessions with Lia Thomas, Dylan Mulvaney, Megan Markle, etc has gotten old. Maybe she should only broadcast once a week. She needs new material.
First 'FIRE in a Crowded Theater' now 'The Fall of the House of Tucker'...is there a tip jar for whoever is coming up with these titles? Hats off, lads.
I generally support outlandish public slander of Matt, not because he's not a delightful human being. I just want another angry cassingle complete with several intermittent, pre-announced pauses to allow for wine gulping.
Just wanted to say, absolute banger of a podcast. Loved the RFK Jr. Discussion. So many right wing vaccine skeptics are pretending they just discovered this guy and he’s going to be some heroic democrats running in 2024. He’s as big of a lunatic as it gets.
My favorite part about this episode....no listener emails!!!! No offense to John from Omaha and a lot of the people who write-in, but those emails can sound like a community NPR mail bag sometimes.
Fwiw, In-Q-Tel is the CIA’s venture capital arm. They fund projects like DARPA does that they think might be useful. Palantir was a beneficiary back in the day.
There was one topic you could have asked Ben Smith about to sandbag him this time. About his tie up with the (Red) Chinese think tank that he's started kind of suspiciously after having to return SBF's money. I know Semafor's official response is that they retain editorial independence etc, but come on..its the (Red) Chinese we're talking about. There's probably an MSS agent reading every keystroke on Ben Smith's computer already
Gents, the audio quality (dynamic range) of the intro music for 404 (and 403, 395, 394) is poor. There is no bass in these intro tracks. Bring back the full dynamic range intro music please!
If CNN was smart they’d do a Parts Unknown type show with Sir Charles where he goes city to city and just roasts them. First episode should be him going to San Antonio.
In the spirit of the wonderful rants in first half of this episode, can we talk about how much of my Substack feed is currently shot through with the phrase- “THE CENSORSHIP INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX!!!!”?
Also- references to “WOKENESS!!!!!”
These horseshoe fuckers are turning me into a neocon

You’re welcome everyone. I demanded an emergency podcast, threatened to pull my money, and Bob’s your uncle—we got our podcast.
Have a blessed day.

The perfect birthday gift. Thanks, boys!
