I thought that Moynihan was being hyperbolic when he was talking about the implicit bias video, but lo and behold! Putting your morning coffee in a shoe is, in fact, part of the jury training.
I was thinking the same exact thing. I've heard implicit bias explained many times in my life and this might be one of the worse descriptions I've ever seen.
"Implicit Bias" BULLSHIT. The court system is supposed to be evidenced-based, but even a rudimentary look at research on implicit bias shows that bullshit study NEVER REPLICATED, like more than half of the social psychology studies of the last 30 years. I sat as a juror on a federal jury two years ago. They also had a video about bias, but to their credit, unlike this execrable NY state video, they did not confuse optical illusions with bias!
