Re-:5 inch heels. A common misconception is that women wear stiletto heels in the workplace primarily to look more sexually attractive to men. While it’s absolutely true that a woman’s gait *potentially* becomes more alluring when she is wearing high heels, (if she knows how to walk in them), it also makes a woman about as close to eye-level with her male colleagues as possible.

When you are standing around having conversations with men in positions of power, it is a huge advantage to be able to look at them directly in the eye. This is what wearing 5 inch heels accomplishes that has everything to do with power and nothing to do with sex.

So short men are at the biggest disadvantage. There was a very long streak in American Presidential history in which the taller presidential candidate won every single election until I believe Gore versus versus Bush (W). And that one some argue is a technicality because of the Supreme Court’s intervention.

I’m not sure if Biden or Trump is taller, I don’t have time to Google that right now.

"On a somewhat lighter note" -examplary Welchian segue as it applies to almost literally any other topic.

I really enjoyed the first episode of "Dispatches from the Well". It was a much-needed break from *gestures to everything*. Very glad that we get to see some of Kmele's side project.

I don't mean this comment to throw shade at anyone of you fine Fifth Columnists. I am addressing the current situation in the world today. I am depressed because it seems we are headed towards Armageddon, only it wont be an ultimate fight between good and evil, but between dumb and dumber.

Speaking of Israel’s Brothers and Sisters in Arms, here is an interview with Brothers and Sisters in Arms leader Noam Lanir, who “ explains why his group transitioned from protesting Israel’s controversial ‘justice revolution’ to serving the country after Hamas' deadly attack.”

Hey Kmele: hope you weren’t the one who got jugged in Tiburon this week. My advice, send your kids to Redwood if you’re going with public-not Tam. Marin City is the Tamalpais HS district. Nuff said.

I feel like Kmele has some formidable California educator Fifdom folk to hit up for schooling advice. He'll need it!

About Meijer, "Jonathan Last (“Why do some men continue to support the parties that cast them aside?”) " Is such a stupid comment. You don't need to change your entire political opinions because the party is mean to you. He wants to run for office and doesn't agree with Dems. Though this comment from JVL does make sense with the trajectory of the Weekly Standard to Bulwark evolution.

It would be tragic if the recording is unsalvageable. That Finklestein impression needs to be preserved for posterity. Moynihan has a gift.

Thought this might be of interest to fans of the show (and Michael). I was looking at a winter film preview and one coming out in December is Zone of Interest (loosely based on the Martin Amis novel). It's directed by Jonathan Glazer who did Under the Skin back in 2013 with Scarlett Johansson, which was a cool and unique film. Definitely something on my list to check out!

A meeting of my two favorite minds? The Fifth Column together with the better half of the Opie and Anthony Show? I have either died a hero or lived long enough to become a villain. Or I am just on mushrooms?

P.S. Would kind of love to see one of the boys interact with Anthony, especially Kmele, though and see that moment when the agreeing turns awkward as Anthony feels comfortable enough to bring up his "racial theories".
